Buteyko practitioner training is available in Ireland at any time throughout the year for both persons living within Ireland or for persons visiting from abroad.
Patrick McKeown is the representative of the ButeykoClinic in the western world. He has a very busy AsthmaCare (www.asthmacare.ie) practice in Ireland which offers a unique opportunity for visiting practitioners to see first hand the following;
- How Patrick teaches the ButeykoClinic.
- How patients respond
- What results are achieved.
- To date persons from Austria, Spain, Romania, US, Canada, Hungary, UK and Finland have attended Patrick's clinics as both patients and practitioners.

What is involved?
Traveling from abroad to teach in your home country.
Attend two to three weeks of clinics whereby you will observe Patrick teaching his patients. Interspersed will be one to one teaching and guidance on reaching out and delivering to patients. This is a very intensive and hands on training where you will be working with one of the most experienced practitioners in the Western world.
Cost: Euro 2,500. Training DVDs and training manual is provided upon an initial deposit of 25% of total fee. The remainder is payable upon your attendance to Ireland.
Living in Ireland.
You will attend Patrick's workshops over a period of twelve months. Living in Ireland guarantees the most advanced training as you have the benefit of being able to attend as many clinics as you require in order to master your teaching. In addition, you will be accredited as a ButeykoClinic practitioner. The cost to become practitioner while living in Ireland is more expensive but given the nature of the training you receive, the cost is well justified.
Cost : 4000 Euro. Payment is made 50% upon commencement of course and 50% after six months.
How we teach Buteyko practitioners?
Stage 1) Prior long distance learning by DVDs of actual clinic training and reading material. (training can be commenced at any time so prior study may not be possible with short notice)
Stage 2) Twelve months of part time training including attendance to a minimum of eight days of workshop. (training with real patients)
Stage 3) Provision of extensive training manual and full training DVD.
Stage 4) You will have the opportunity of assisting Patrick with his own patients during the practical training.
Stage 5) Ongoing follow up support by telephone and email.
Stage 6) Accreditation by the Buteyko Clinic. (please note that we are the only organization in the world with Buteyko Clinic accreditation)
Stage 7) We will be organizing pages for practitioners to update their own information and courses on the Buteyko clinic site. This will carry an annual fee but will provide a top quality website presence for each practitioner without major costs.
