Buteyko Breathing Clinic Practitioners - Dallas
Buteyko Fort Worth Texas
Brandon suffered from regular sever asthma attacks from the age of two
until the age of twenty seven. Over his lifetime he tried many traditional
and alternative treatments to control his asthma with little to no
success. In 1999 while preparing for a Summer Semester at Moscow State
University he discovered BBT on the internet and ordered a vhs tape and
training manual, as there were no Buteyko Practiconeers in his home state
at that time. Over the course of a single year he was able to go from
using 15-25 puffs of Ventolin & 2 puffs of steroids daily, to no
medication at all. It took some work and dedication to be sure, but to
date Brandon has not required any asthma medication in over five years. In
2008 he was certified by Patrick McKeown to teach this wonderful method.
In 2009 Brandon launched AsthmaCoach.com, a site dedicated to spreading
the BBT method to asthmatics across the globe.

Karen Samuel is a Certified Orofacial Myologist and has been involved in the dental field for over 30 years. As a result of working with children and adults whose teeth had become misaligned due to tongue thrust swallowing patterns related directly to mouth breathing, she became frustrated with traditional medical solutions. Patients had tonsils, adenoids removed , were using nasal preventive sprays and taking antihistamines daily, but still had an open mouth breathing habit even with myofunctional therapy. Some also experienced sleep disorders, coughing, wheezing and asthma. After researching the Buteyko method, she realized these habitual breathing patterns could be corrected, much like the neuromuscular swallowing pattern changes accomplished with orofacial myology, with daily breathing exercises.
Becoming a practitioner to heal these patients became a healing experience for Karen herself. As a result of chronic mouthbreathing , she had orofacial myofunctional disorders that resulted in two failed orthognathic surgeries (to reposition her jaws) and experienced coughing, wheezing and asthma. After Buteyko, she no longer takes any medications. Karen can be reached through her website, URL: www.northtexasorofacialmyology.com , e-mail: karensamuel9617@aol.com
