The aims of the ButeykoClinic are to provide a standardized system of learning according to the ideals and excellence of the founding clinic in Moscow. Our training program is the ONLY practitioner training in the UK, USA, Canada and Europe that is directly accredited by Moscow.
ButeykoClinic.com is the official branch of the founding Buteyko clinic of Moscow. It was established to provide a direct link between the Russian clinic and the Western world.
The ButeykoClinic was founded in Moscow in 1988 by the Late Konstantin Pavlovich Buteyko. The clinic is a medical centre for the treatment and prevention of health problems such as asthma, bronchitis, various allergies, chronic rhinitis, sleep apnoea and other health conditions.
The Buteyko Method has been widely used in Russia since 1985 after it was approved by the Soviet health ministry. This was based on conclusions from the clinical trials of the Buteyko Method which were conducted by First Medical Sechenov's Institute (Moscow Medical Academy), Moscow, 1981 and National Scientific Institute of Pulmonology of Soviet Health Ministry, Petersburg, 1968.
Dr Andrey Novozhilov is Patron to the ButeykoClinic. Patrick McKeown from Ireland is the Western representative.
Interesting note:
Several years ago Prince Charles of Wales had a private meeting with Professor Buteyko in London. Prince Charles highly regarded Professor's discoveries and expressed interest in their use in the British Health care system.
Trademark of the Buteyko Clinic logo
The trademark symbolizes life on Earth. Carbon is the main component of organic matter and all living creatures on our planet. The life is based on carbon compounds. Each atom of carbon has four chemical bonds for forming its crystalline lattice.
Latin symbol of carbon "C" is substituted with a circle, because the circle symbolizes eternity of life.
In the centre of the carbon atom is located the globe of Earth as a sign that the life is the main thing that exists on our planet.
